As a residential Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for ongoing facility maintenance and repairs to keep the company’s multifamily property operating and appearing at its best. You will use your four‑plus years of experience in property maintenance to address work orders before issues become major problems. You’ve done light carpentry, performed minor electrical or plumbing repairs, and are comfortable working on HVAC systems.
You are committed to creating a safe working environment for the team and a safe living environment for residents with a safety‑first approach.
- Address work orders promptly to prevent major issues.
- Perform light carpentry, minor electrical or plumbing repairs, and HVAC maintenance.
- Proactively maintain routine maintenance and cleanliness of the property, including resident amenities such as the pool and clubhouse.
- Engage with residents professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain a safety‑first approach to protect both the team and residents.
- Treat all residents with the highest level of concern and care; demonstrate integrity and ethical conduct.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Familiarity with tools and materials needed to maintain residential buildings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Respectful, responsible, and take ownership of tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with proven time‑management ability.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software.
- High school diploma or GED required; minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in property management or hospitality.
- Technical degree or certifications in HVAC, EPA, CPO, plumbing, electrical, or related areas preferred.
- Prior experience in general building maintenance, painting, or handyman work.
- Experience maintaining and repairing HVAC systems.
- Minimum age 18.
- Own tools required.
- Valid driver’s license to operate company‑owned or personal vehicle for work.
- Lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Use hands to manipulate tools and objects safely.
- Adequate vision and stamina for day‑to‑day duties.
- Move about the property, including standing for extended periods, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling in various weather conditions.
