Minimum Salary Ranges- Mobile County: $48,091 - $76,882*
- City of Prichard: $25,344 - $39,312
- City of Chickasaw: $27,276 - $42,312
- City of Saraland: $43,569 - $69,652
- City of Citronelle: $34,804 - $55,640
- City of Bayou La Batre: $35,446 - $56,666
- Mobile Area Water & Sewer System: $44,658 - $71,394
- Mobile County Health Department: $43,569 - $69,652
- Mobile Housing Authority: $45,775 - $73,178
- Prichard Water Works & Sewer Board: $43,569 - $69,652

Minimum Qualifications- Graduation from a standard senior high school, or successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test.
- Completion of an apprenticeship or trade school program in automotive or diesel repair.
- A minimum of one year journeyman level experience in maintenance and repair in one of the following areas: (1) automotive/light truck/miscellaneous; (2) medium/heavy truck; or (3) construction equipment; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
- Must possess a commercial driver's license or a valid driver's license from state of residence.
- All jurisdictions except Mobile County Health Department, must obtain a commercial driver's license with appropriate endorsements, including air brake endorsement, prior to completion of the six month working test period.
