Technician- Maintenance II ; Crew

Responsibilities

• Perform necessary maintenance of the facility, equipment, and grounds as directed, ensuring timely and cost‑efficient execution.
• Accomplish daily assignments as scheduled and directed.
• Perform on‑site service and repair of equipment.
• Meet at least 90% of estimated repair times.
• Collaborate with other departments.
• Follow standard OSHA, EPA, and company safe work practices on all assignments.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings.
• Train other employees when requested.
• Act as Team Lead when no Tech III is available.
• Read electrical and mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping standards, and wear required PPE.
• Notify the EHS Department of any questions or concerns regarding hazardous waste management.
• Manage waste generated from any work performed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned; description may change at any time.

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of maintenance experience, or 5+ years experience in a related field, or 2‑year technical school plus 3+ years experience.
• Journeyman’s card from an accredited apprenticeship program preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), and CMMS (preferred).
• Strong communication skills; ability to read and suggest modifications to prints.
• Proven electro‑mechanical skills and knowledge of electrical, mechanical, vacuum systems and robotics.
• Ability to follow safe work practices, understand LOTO, and work independently without supervision.
• System‑level troubleshooting capability and full knowledge of all preventive maintenance schedules.
• Capability to pull reports and enter data into the CMMS system.

This position will not have direct reports.

No travel is required.

$23.37 - $32.72

• Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day.
• Will climb stairs or steps frequently.
• Will lift up to 58 pounds occasionally; 37 pounds frequently.
• Will push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally; 37 pounds frequently.
• Will use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects frequently.
• Requires 20/40 vision in each eye, ability to distinguish red, yellow, and green, and peripheral vision >70 degrees.
• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist frequently.
• May stoop, kneel, or bend occasionally.
• Compliance with all safety standards and procedures is required.
• Ability to wear PPE including steel‑toed shoes, cut‑resistant gloves, jackets, aprons, arm guards, safety glasses or goggles, hearing protection, and respirators; facial hair must be minimal.
