What You'll Do as an HVAC Install Technician
- Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and ductwork per minimum standards and installation manual requirements
- Create a customer experience that exceeds the expectations set by the sales team or Comfort Advisor
- Communicate professionally throughout the installation process and ensure the customer is fully prepared to operate their new HVAC system upon completion of the job
- Perform thorough start-up and testing of installed systems to ensure proper operation; complete and sign the Safety, Quality, and Assurance Report
- Adhere to safety procedures and use protective equipment as required
- Complete the post-install checklist accurately
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used; upon completion of the job, call into the Project Management Team and communicate any issues
Requirements
What We're Looking For in an HVAC Install Technician
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a lead installer
- EPA certification required
- Journeyman gas fitter a plus
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Professional communication with homeowners
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Able to lift and maneuver equipment and work in various job-site conditions
Pay & Incentives
- $25–$32 per hour, based on experience
- Incentive plan paid per completed install
- Tool Account — no-interest loan up to $800
