Construction​/Carpenter’s Assistant​/Specialties Installer

Overview

Our ideal candidate will install specialty materials/equipment according to assigned scopes and job specifications, follow blueprints and drawings, and use hand/power tools for effective installation.

• Read construction documents and complete a specific task based on the provided documents
• Install interior finish items, including but not limited to: wall protection, doors & hardware, toilet accessories, cubicle curtain track, and other owner-provided materials
• Follow established job-site safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area
• Plan and execute work to provide the highest efficiency possible
• Communicate with the rest of the construction team

• Strong math skills
• Carpentry experience, including the ability to read a tape measure and measure accurately
• Working knowledge of different types of carpentry tools and how to use them safely (e.g., saws, drills, cutting torches)
• Time management and the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail (everything we do is by code)
• Self-motivated and able to accomplish set goals in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem-solving skills for complex issues, with flexibility and adaptability to change
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
• Willingness to travel 2–3 weeks at a time
• Ability to pass drug screens
• Valid US driver’s license

• Experience in commercial construction
• High school diploma or GED certificate
