The Crew Lead is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Birmingham, AL, responsible for supervising and working alongside team members on moving, junk removal, and general labor jobs. This role includes coordinating daily schedules, organizing trucks and equipment, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to customer satisfaction. The Crew Lead will communicate directly with customers on‑site, provide clear explanations of services, manage payments and paperwork, and resolve issues or concerns in a professional manner.
Day‑to‑day tasks involve lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading furniture and other items; directing crew members; maintaining a clean and safe work environment; and following company procedures and safety guidelines. The Crew Lead also supports training new team members, promoting a positive team culture, and representing the brand in a courteous, respectful manner.
- Ability to lead small crews, delegate tasks, and motivate team members to complete jobs safely and on time.
- Strong customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with clients and partners on‑site.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items repeatedly, and work on your feet throughout the shift.
- Basic problem‑solving and organizational skills to plan job steps, handle unexpected challenges, and protect customer property.
- Reliable transportation to the worksite and consistent punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols, company policies, and maintain a clean, orderly truck and work area.
- Previous experience in moving, general labor, warehouse, logistics, or a similar hands‑on role is preferred.
- Experience in a supervisory or lead position is a plus; high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
