Electrician

Birmingham Electrical Contractors, Inc. is looking for long-term apprentice to Journeyman level electricians. Must be dependable, have reliable transportation, and able to pass a drug test. Pay is dependent on experience.

• Assist with the installation of electrical systems and equipment.
• Install, bend, and secure conduit according to project specifications.
• Pull wire for branch circuits and assist with circuit installations.
• Read and apply ampacity charts and other electrical references as directed.
• Organize, identify, and properly use electrical materials and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with foremen and crew members to complete projects efficiently.

• Experience installing and bending conduit.
• Experience with branch circuits, including pulling wire and understanding ampacity charting.
• Knowledge of electrical materials, including proper identification, organization, and application.
• Ability to listen, understand, and follow instructions from supervisors and foremen.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and punctuality.
• Willingness to attend school or training programs and continue developing electrical skills.

• Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program.
• Basic understanding of electrical codes and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
