Structures Mechanic Certified Aviation Services – Birmingham, Alabama Certified Aviation Services is seeking an experienced Structures Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing structural repairs, modifications, and installations on aircraft while ensuring all work meets FAA regulations and company quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Perform aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and installations in accordance with approved technical data.

Read and interpret structural repair manuals (SRMs), engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Remove and replace damaged aircraft skin, panels, frames, stringers, and other structural components.

Lay out, fabricate, fit, and install sheet metal parts and assemblies.

Drill, countersink, ream, and install solid and blind rivets.

Perform corrosion removal, treatment, and prevention procedures.

Measure, cut, bend, and form sheet metal using approved tools and equipment.

Ensure all work is completed in compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety policies.

Ability to read and interpret structural repair manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.

Experience performing aircraft structural repairs and sheet metal fabrication.

Proficient in drilling, riveting, fitting, and installing aircraft structural components.

Knowledge of corrosion identification and repair procedures.

Must have basic aircraft structures hand tools.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be willing to work overtime as requested.

Previous commercial or military aircraft structures experience preferred.
