Automotive Service Technicians – Trim, Drivability & Diesel
Long-Lewis Auto Group is hiring multiple experienced Automotive Service Technicians specializing in Trim, Drivability, or Diesel Repair. Join a high-volume dealership offering consistent workflow, ongoing training, and advancement opportunities with a family-owned company that has served Alabama for over 100 years. Pay Range: $45–$72 per flat-rate hour (FRH).
Available Specialties:
- Trim Technician: Diagnose and repair electrical concerns involving vehicle interiors. Remove, repair, and replace dashboards, seat covers, trim panels, and other interior components. Perform limited heating and air-conditioning repairs. Complete work according to manufacturer standards.
- Drivability Technician: Diagnose battery drains, check-engine lights, warning indicators, and engine-performance concerns. Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and drivability issues. Use diagnostic equipment to identify problems and verify completed repairs.
- Diesel Technician: Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles. Perform routine services and complex repairs involving engines, transmissions, brakes, and related systems. Complete repairs according to manufacturer and safety standards.
Qualifications:
At least two years of relevant automotive repair experience required. Electrical and diagnostic experience required for drivability technicians. Hands-on diesel engine experience required for diesel technicians. Ford experience or certification strongly preferred. ASE certification or equivalent manufacturer training preferred. Must own standard tools required for the trade; specialty tools are provided. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Must be able to lift and handle heavy automotive parts and equipment.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
