Brookside Properties is hiring a Maintenance Technician at Branch water Apartments in Birmingham, AL
. We’re looking for a hands‑on maintenance professional with apartment or residential maintenance experience, strong HVAC knowledge, and a commitment to providing great service to our residents.

- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of apartment, residential, or related maintenance experience
- EPA Certification – Type II or Universal REQUIRED
- HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and general building maintenance
- Basic hand tools
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to participate in an after-hours/on-call rotation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally
- Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance issues
- Complete apartment make-readies and turns
- Perform preventive maintenance and property inspections
- Maintain grounds, amenities, and common areas
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls
- Participate in the property’s on-call rotation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑maintained community
- Assist with inventory and maintenance supplies
