As a Shop Equipment Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the operational readiness of heavy lifting and transport machinery. You will utilize your expertise in hydraulics and electrical diagnostics to ensure equipment reliability, directly impacting customer uptime and safety.

You will utilize your expertise in hydraulics and electrical diagnostics to ensure equipment reliability, directly impacting customer uptime and safety.
Responsibilities- Execute complex repairs and troubleshooting for articulating cranes, bucket trucks, truck-mounted forklifts, and heavy-duty trailers.
- Conduct rigorous preventive maintenance schedules and perform annual DOT inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide rapid-response diagnostic support for unscheduled equipment failures to minimize operational downtime.
- Manage comprehensive service documentation, including work order authorization, parts procurement, and accurate labor tracking.
- Collaborate with shop leadership to communicate mechanical status and identify necessary component replacements.
- Uphold a high standard of workplace safety and organization, adhering to all state and federal industrial regulations.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on mechanical experience with heavy equipment, specifically cranes or forklifts.
- Advanced proficiency in hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics, and welding.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 75+ lbs and working in varied environmental conditions.
- Possession of a standard set of personal hand tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness.
- Competency in Windows-based software for service reporting and inventory management.
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service through technical excellence.
