Summary
:
This position provides guidance for IL youth and support to the ILSS program at CAS.
Minimum Education
:
High School Diploma/GED, Associate or Bachelor’s degree desired.
Licensure
:
Valid Alabama driver license and auto insurance minimum liability 100/300.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
:
The Youth Consultant will be a person with lived experience in the foster care system in Alabama. Excellent oral and written communication, organization, and problem-solving skills;
Ability to relate to and work well with others;
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Demonstrate cultural proficiency and to learn and work within an agency culture of trauma responsive care.
Certification
:
Bi‑annual TB skin test/medical report.
Other Requirements
:
Reliable personal transportation for frequent travel statewide. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
