Neel‑Schaffer is accepting applications from qualified candidates for a skilled Senior Application Developer to join our growing engineering firm. This position can be based in our Birmingham (AL) Office. The successful candidate will be a solution‑oriented Senior .Net Developer who can architect solutions, manage cloud infrastructure, and drive technological innovation throughout the organization.
This role combines full‑stack development with Azure administration and Power Platform expertise.
- Develops enterprise applications using latest .NET release.
- Architects and implements microservices using modern design patterns and best practices.
- Develops complex stored procedures, functions, and queries for Azure SQL Database.
- Configures and maintains Azure Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines and Azure Portal artifacts and resources.
- Designs solutions using Power Platform (i.e. Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate) software.
- Researches and integrates emerging technologies into the organization as needed.
- The candidate should have a strong work ethic and the ability to work well with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with .NET development (C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET 10).
- Strong knowledge of Azure SQL Database administration and T‑SQL development.
- Hands‑on Azure Dev Ops experience (e.g. pipelines, repos, boards, etc.).
- Proficiency with Azure Functions and microservices architecture.
- Power Platform experience (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate).
- Proficiency with Azure Portal configuration and resource management.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Deltek Vantage Point, Deltek Vision, or similar project management and financial software platforms.
- Certification in Microsoft Azure, preferred.
- Front‑end frameworks (Blazor) proficiency, preferred.
- Docker/Kubernetes experience, preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
