Information Services Software Development Internship Summer

Job Description

Altec is looking for interns to work in our Information Services department at our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL for the Summer of 2026. Candidates chosen for this position will work as a software developer on a project identified and crafted for the interns to give them experience working as a team to deliver a working solution. Candidates will get to work with experienced developers and other associates as they learn how to work together using Agile software development methodologies.

• Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university or enrolled in a post graduate program with a major in Information Systems or a closely related degree at the time of the internship.
• Candidates must be available to work onsite at our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL for the duration of the internship.
