As a Software Engineer Sr within PNC's Retail Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, or Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities- Develop and modernize user interfaces using Angular, HTML, and CSS, delivering responsive, accessible, and maintainable UI components.
- Modernize existing screens and workflows by rebuilding and embedding new UI experiences.
- Integrate modern front‑end solutions into established systems while ensuring stability, performance, and minimal disruption to legacy functionality.
- Collaborate with backend and full‑stack engineers, applying working knowledge of Java to support UI‑driven services and cross‑layer integrations.
- Provide detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
- Propose & design software solutions to address complex business needs.
- Write code, test, and deploy software.
- Prepare technical and procedural documentation required for software.
- Maintain and debug software.
Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role. Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of direct industry experience in software development, with emphasis on front‑end engineering.
- Proficiency in Angular (or similar frameworks), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience integrating front‑end solutions with legacy systems and backend services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to prepare technical documentation.
- Knowledge of accessibility, responsive design, and UI best practices.

SalaryBase Salary: $55,000.00 – $. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education. The role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
