Kafka-Based Event Streaming Solutions Developer

Design and build Kafka-based event streaming solutions from scratch. Develop and support real-time data pipelines (moving from batch to real-time). Work closely with app dev SMEs to design backend architecture. Build out event-driven services using Kafka / IBM Event Streams. Support two primary initiatives (~80%):
Converting batch processing systems into real-time streaming systems. Modernizing mainframe integrations using real-time data via SOAP services. Ensure systems are scalable, high-performance, and production-ready. Contribute to a Pega platform migration (approx. 10% of time). Help drive architecture and implementation for multiple projects delivering by EOY.
