Ho'olaulima Government Solutions LLC (HGS) is a Small Business Administration-certified, Native Hawaiian Organization-Owned, 8(a) Small Business which provides services and solutions in the areas of Cybersecurity Services, Information Technology Services, Professional and Technical Services, Environmental Services, and Healthcare Services to the Department of Defense and other Federal agencies.

HGS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Kina'ole Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit established to benefit Native Hawaiian communities.

• Develops codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software.
• Has good understanding of business applications as well as user, performance, quality, interface, and security requirements.
• Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
• Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• May assist in development of software user manuals.
• Responsible for desktop design, testing, security lockdown implementation, integration with standard software packages, integration with automated patching and deployment technologies, documentation, and training to include automating application and configuration deployments and updates.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

• Five (5) years' experience of software development for systems in a production environment as detailed above.
• Familiar with a variety of scripts, programming languages, and operating systems. Examples include, but are not limited to:
  • C#
  • Python
  • Power Shell
  • NET
  • Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Extensible Markup Language (XML)
  • Web Services Description Language (WSDL)
  • Angular
  • HTML
  • Java Script
  • Microservices Architecture
• Identifying technical strategies to interconnect disparate software applications by authoring original software programs
• Designing and authoring original software applications from a high level, non-specific set of concepts provided by the customer
• Writing programs that achieve a desired outcome or workflow from nothing more than observation of desired outcomes, workflows, or from vague original concepts
• Producing specifications and design documentation including:
  • Process Flow
  • Class Diagrams
  • Sequence Diagrams
  • Physical Architecture
  • System and Web Service Interface Specifications
  • Data Dictionary
  • Data Model
• Creating project work estimates
• Implementing solutions and identify operational or management issues
• Systems designing, policy development, and database development and management, and user interface development
• Utilizing available Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software to the maximum extent practicable in designing software applications, avoiding implementation of a proprietary system
• Knowledge of Information Security Systems (ISS) and security standards of Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) and classified data.
• Knowledge of current Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002 (FISMA).
• Must possess an active Top Secret Clearance
