This role is primarily focused on enterprise integrations, middleware technologies, APIs, Oracle HCM connectivity, and production support across our HR Technology footprint. Responsibilities include developing, supporting, and contributing to the design of integrations and extensions within Oracle HCM Cloud and between HCM and other enterprise systems, applications, and databases. The role also supports standard and custom components, delivers enhancements and bug fixes, and leverages data exchange, middleware, and API technologies to enable reliable business processes and data synchronization.

Responsibilities:

• Application/Integration Design and Architecture:
  Support stakeholders and architects in understanding business requirements and contribute to integration solution design that enables seamless data exchange between enterprise systems, both internally and externally.
• Application/Integration Development:
  Design and implement integrations including Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for orchestration and scheduled integrations, adapter configuration (Oracle HCM Cloud, REST, SOAP, Database, File/FTP, and others), and reusable libraries and lookups. Write clean, maintainable integration flows and implement data mapping, transformation, and validation logic. Ensure integrations adhere to security, performance, and reliability standards. This also includes development inside of Oracle HCM Cloud utilizing ATOM Feeds, Fast Formulas, BIP, and VBCS, as well as Oracle APEX and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) as needed.
  
  Familiarity with additional middleware and integration platforms such as Microsoft Biz Talk, Boomi, Mule Soft, Azure Integration Services, Informatica Cloud, or Workato is a plus.
• System Connectivity:
  Establish connectivity between various systems, databases, and applications through middleware solutions such as enterprise service buses (ESBs), message queues, or APIs. Configure and manage integration connections, authentication mechanisms, and data encryption to ensure secure and reliable data transmission.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
  Investigate and resolve integration issues including data synchronization errors, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks. Support and troubleshoot production integrations in a business-critical enterprise environment. Leverage platform monitoring, activity streams, and logging capabilities to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. Collaborate with system administrators, application developers, and external vendors to identify root causes and implement timely resolutions.

  Testing and Quality Assurance:
  
  Develop and execute test plans and scenarios to validate integration workflows, data integrity, and system compatibility. This includes writing unit and integration tests covering happy path, edge cases, and failure scenarios, with test results validated against expected outcomes before deployment.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
  Create comprehensive technical documentation including integration specifications, architectural diagrams, sequence diagrams, and troubleshooting guides. Maintain a shared knowledge base with clear instructions, runbooks, and known issue resolutions. Share knowledge with internal teams and contribute to team documentation standards.
• Stay Updated:
  Keep abreast of emerging integration technologies, platform updates, and industry standards. Continuously evaluate new tools, frameworks, and platforms that can enhance integration capabilities and optimize data exchange processes.
• AI Knowledge & Mindset:
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools to improve productivity and accelerate delivery.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, including critical review of AI-generated output, privacy considerations, and secure development practices.
• Interest in leveraging emerging AI capabilities to improve software development, integration delivery, and operational efficiency.
