Club Overview

Greystone Golf and Country Club is a 36-hole private club located in Birmingham, AL, consisting of the Bob Cupp designed Founders Course (1991) and the Rees Jones designed Legacy Course (2000). The Founders Course is home to the PGA Tour Champions Region’s Tradition, which is a senior major that we host annually in late April/early May. We are located in a gated, high-end residential community in Southeast Birmingham.

Our courses are a couple miles apart and each have their own clubhouse and course maintenance facility.

The open position is on our Legacy Course, which underwent a green, tee, and bunker renovation in 2022. We have Tif Eagle greens, Meyer Zoysia fairways, Tif Grand tees and collars, and 419 rough. Our structure includes a course superintendent and two assistant superintendents on each course, with job responsibilities rotating weekly. Assistants work every 3rd weekend and weekly work hours range from 40-50 hours.

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in a turf-related field
• Minimum of 2-4 years golf course experience with increasing responsibilities
• Valid driver’s license
• AL pesticide applicators’ permit or the ability to obtain in 90 days
• Possesses a basic understanding of the rules of golf
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and Google Sheets
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
