Our client is looking for a strong and dedicated Freight Dispatcher. A freight dispatcher acts as an intermediary between shippers (companies or individuals who need to transport goods) and carriers (truckers, shipping companies, etc.). Their primary role is to facilitate the transportation of goods by connecting shippers with carriers.

Responsibilities
  • Arrange Transportation: Coordinate the pickup and delivery of goods, managing schedules, routes, and logistics to ensure timely shipments.
  • Manage Documentation: Prepare and maintain necessary paperwork, including contracts, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
  • Track Shipments: Monitor the progress of shipments, providing updates to shippers and carriers to ensure on-time and safe delivery.
  • Problem Solving: Act as a point of contact for resolving issues or delays during transportation, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Customer Service: Communicate with shippers and carriers to address questions, concerns, and service needs throughout the shipping process.
  • Ensure Compliance: Stay informed about transportation regulations and ensure all shipments meet legal and safety requirements.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in logistics, transportation coordination, or freight management.
  • Strong understanding of shipping procedures, documentation, and freight regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to address transportation delays or issues.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills for interacting with shippers, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to track shipments accurately and provide timely updates.
  • Knowledge of transportation compliance, safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Proficiency with transportation management software, routing tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

$500 - $500 a week

Base pay of $500 a week, plus commission opportunities of up to 4% on total margin earned weekly
