Full-time position based in Birmingham, AL with a growing freight brokerage company; seeking a driven professional to manage customer shipments, coordinate appointments, maintain relationships, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and solve transportation-related challenges.

• Negotiate rates, service and terms, schedule appointments, and coordinate deliveries
• Foster relationships through exceptional customer service and providing tailored solutions
• Broker freight while providing quality transportation solutions to customers and carriers
• Identify industry and market trends to maintain competitive rates
• Perform other related duties as assigned, working with team for improving processes

• Impressive work ethic and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Suite proficiency, with strength in Excel
• Ability to process information quickly and make wise decisions
• Ability to maintain long-term relationships with customers and carriers
• Excellent telephone etiquette with solid customer service skills
• Effective multi-tasking, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
