Driver Manager

The Driver Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing driver schedules, monitoring driver performance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. In addition, the Driver Manager will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure optimal efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Manage driver schedules, ensuring that drivers are assigned to the appropriate routes and loads to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor driver performance, providing feedback, coaching, and training to improve performance and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Ensure that drivers are adequately trained in the safe operation of vehicles and equipment, and that they are aware of and comply with all safety regulations.
• Manage driver payroll and ensure that drivers are paid accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of driver activities, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
• Respond to driver questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, and ensure that issues are resolved promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure optimal efficiency and customer satisfaction, and to identify areas for process improvement.
• Participate in the development of new policies and procedures related to driver management and safety.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to driver management and safety.
• Conduct regular performance reviews of drivers, providing feedback on areas for improvement and identifying opportunities for professional development.

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in driver management or related field.
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve common goals.
• Ability to provide leadership and direction to drivers in a professional and supportive manner.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
