The Transfer Driver is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely transportation of materials and inventory between Inline Electric Supply branch locations. This role supports operational efficiency by coordinating transfer shipments, preparing and staging materials, and maintaining accurate handling of inventory throughout the transfer process. The Transfer Driver must operate company vehicles in compliance with all safety regulations outlined in the Inline Electric Supply Safety Handbook and applicable driving laws.

This position requires strong time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting overall warehouse and delivery operations.

Safely operate a transfer truck to transport materials and inventory between Inline Electric Supply branch locations.

Coordinate, pull, assemble, and verify transfer shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to transport.

Load, secure, and unload transfer shipments according to scheduled routes and delivery timelines.

Process, tag, and stage transfer materials in designated areas in accordance with company procedures.

Assist with pulling replenishment materials, picking priority orders, and putting away staged inventory as needed.

Maintain accurate handling of materials and associated documentation throughout the transfer process.

Perform daily housekeeping duties to maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

Follow all safety policies, driving regulations, and warehouse procedures as outlined in the Inline Electric Supply Safety Handbook.

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as assigned (certification preferred where applicable).

Communicate effectively with supervisors, warehouse staff, and branch personnel regarding transfer schedules, material status, and issues.

Work independently with minimal supervision while managing assigned routes, tasks, and deadlines.

Assist with warehouse or delivery-related duties as operational needs require.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the department manager or leadership team.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and documentation.

Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong time-management and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently while supporting team-based operations.

Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and adherence to procedures.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Valid driver’s license with an approved, clean motor vehicle record.

Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Compliance with company drug-free workplace requirements.
