Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi-Cola Bottler founded in Birmingham, AL, more than 100 years ago. The Warehouse Support is a key member of the Corporate Warehouse team responsible for performing many general functions in order to support the efficient operations of the warehouse.
Essential Functions- Properly follow all processes as outlined by the supervisor.
- Must acquire and maintain training and certification on powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, layer picker and electric pallet jacks.
- May use forklifts up to 50% of day in the performance of job duties.
- May be required to work varying shifts, weekends and/or overtime if needed to meet customer demand.
- Perform general housekeeping functions within the warehouse, offices and grounds.
- Assist Warehouse Forklift Operators as requested to meet customer demand.
- Must follow all safety guidelines as required by management.
- Must ensure all electronic equipment (voice pick headpieces, RF equipment etc.), are properly maintained and to immediately report any system issues to the applicable supervisor.
- Operate Recycle Equipment.
- Load recycle bins into the recycle machine.
- Keep plastic and cans separate and make sure no trash is mixed in with the product being processed.
- Keep all floor areas in and outside plant area clean, utilizing broom and hoses.
- Pick up trash from plant grounds.
- Follow the Good Manufacturing Program GMPs as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFR 21 section 110.
- Participate in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes.
- Report potential issues related to Food Safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance of any off-site function during work hours or after work hours while representing the Buffalo Rock Company.
- Responsible for continuous self-improvement through the knowledge and use of all Buffalo Rock provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other provided method. Must successfully complete assigned training curriculum, including but not limited to online and/or facilitated training.
- Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the Company from possible damages, theft, or other liabilities.
