Inventory Control Associate

Position Overview

Inventory Control Associate – Birmingham, AL – $18.00 per hour – Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Start your next chapter with Staffmark.

As an Inventory Control Associate, you will keep inventory flowing and accurate throughout the warehouse environment. You will research and resolve discrepancies, support customer inquiries, and maintain system records.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Computer proficiency and ability to work within inventory management systems.
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Previous inventory control, warehouse, WMS, or Microsoft Office experience preferred.

• Maintain accurate inventory records, logs, and data for customer accounts.
• Research, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies daily.
• Assist customers with inventory-related questions, issues, and solutions.
• Process customer return orders accurately and timely.
• Coordinate special inventory projects between customers and internal teams.
• Utilize order management and inventory systems to track inventory activity.
• Communicate professionally with customers through verbal and written correspondence.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse associates and other departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and record maintenance activities.
• Perform additional inventory and warehouse-related duties as assigned by management.
