The Forklift Operator (Loading) will be responsible for ensuring routes are loaded with accuracy and efficiency in a timely and safe manner. The Operator will ensure the steady flow of product across the Vertique System and will be able to cross‑train and perform any job functions of other Forklift Operators’ positions.

• Regular and timely attendance; required to work all hours necessary, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Operate various types of forklifts, following Central Hub Loading best practices to ensure safe and efficient movement of products.
• Perform pre‑trip inspections on all power equipment via Info Link system.
• Follow all driving rules and be aware of surroundings.
• Offload/Load shipping equipment from trailers, inspect condition, and notify Lead/Supervisor of any abnormalities.
• Offload product returns from customers and move to designated staging area.
• Follow loading documentation; ensure product loaded is correct and in correct sequence per Container , route # and trailer #.
• Load route trucks accurately and efficiently, maintaining flow across pallet chain and avoiding bottlenecks.
• Secure the load with a minimum of two straps.
• Move products from backstock locations to trailers, registering transactions in the Warehouse Management System using tablets, cell phones, and RF scanners.
• Rotate stock per Location‑Based Inventory (LBI) using FEFO method.
• Ensure offline products loaded per loading document request.
• Build partial pallets manually to meet order requests.
• Handle packaged product properly to prevent damage.
• Sort and organize empty pallets, moving them to Dunnage area.
• Feed pallet dispensers with appropriate empty pallets to keep palletizer running.
• Collect and move damaged items to recycling area.
• Communicate abnormal or damaged conditions of equipment, trailers, or products promptly to Warehouse Lead/Supervisor.
• Assist other areas as needed.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of equipment and workspace; mop spills to keep floors safe.
• Use proper lifting techniques and follow BRC safety practices.
• Make sound decisions and multitask without constant supervision.
• Adhere to SOPs and work instructions.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Program (GMPs) as per CFR 21 § 110 and complete required food‑safety training; report potential food‑safety issues.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.
