Under limited supervision, a Forklift Operator / Sod Loader II performs manual labor to assist in the upkeep, stocking and fulfillment of customer orders in the retail warehouses and outlet yards.

Supervisory responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work environment:
The employee will be expected to work outside in all weather conditions and must have suitable clothing. They must have the ability and willingness to work in adverse conditions, not just including extreme weather but enclosed spaces and heights up to 8 feet. The employee will be expected to work around and with machinery that distributes loud noises and exhaust. Personal Protective gear is provided by the employer.
This position does require handling and operating of heavy equipment which may introduce a high risk to slips, trips and falls.
Physical demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and office supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
