Accounts Receivable Specialist – Birmingham, MI
Clark Hill PLC is hiring an Accounts Receivable ("A/R") Specialist for our Birmingham, MI office.
Responsibilities- Independently resolve tasks related to collecting and servicing client accounts.
- Monitor and maintain a portfolio of accounts.
- Research client information to support routine collection duties.
- Generate outstanding receivable and ledger reports to resolve client billing and payment concerns.
- Ensure monthly reports are completed by firm deadlines and recommend processing of invoice balances in accordance with firm policies.
- Associate’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field; alternatively, college-level accounting classes plus at least five years of professional experience in a legal collection or customer service environment.
- Knowledge of FDCPA collection restrictions preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Self‑directed, able to thrive in a busy, time‑sensitive environment.
- Flexibility to work additional hours, especially in the fourth quarter; overtime pay applicable.
- Position is hybrid after successful training.
- Hourly rate $24.00 – $31.25 or annual $50,000 – $65,000, based on a full‑time schedule.
- Annual discretionary bonus eligible.
