Accounting Manager – L.A. Franchising & L.A. Insurance Affiliated CompaniesThe Accounting Manager oversees and manages the daily operations of multiple companies within the organization, monitors and analyzes accounting data, produces financial reports and statements, and ensures compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Establish and maintain internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.
- Produce financial reports, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Assist the Controller with high‑level projects.
- Perform month‑end account closing activities and reconciliations.
- Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Execute other general accounting assignments as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- CPA or MBA designation is a plus, but not required.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and relevant state and federal regulations.
- Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience analyzing large data sets with V‑Lookups, Pivot Tables, and advanced formulas is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage employees and management effectively.
- Experience with Sage Intacct or another professional accounting/ERP software and Fixed Assets CS is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Superb analytical and research skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a multi‑department team.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal daily direction.
- Maintains confidentiality when required.
- Sitting for long periods.

- Using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Seeing details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
- Understanding the speech of another person.
- Speaking clearly so listeners can understand.
