Role OverviewNeoniq is seeking a Composite Engineering Coordinator to support our Engineering team with critical activities including tracking build progress, coordinating composite layup and prototype work, managing engineering changes, and ensuring accurate technical and ERP documentation. This role serves as a key link between engineering, manufacturing, tooling, and quality.
Duties & Responsibilities- Facilitate and track composite fabrication, layup, and prototype builds.
- Act as the single point of contact between Product Engineering, Program Management and the composites production team.
- Compile build notes and technical details, generating or updating build documentation & Plybooks.
- Participate in manufacturability reviews with engineering, tooling, and production.
- Coordinate tooling changes, tooling maintenance, and tooling readiness activities.
- Maintain quality documentation including layup records, inspection sheets, and traceability forms.
- Support incoming material inspections and pre‑shipment quality checks for composite parts.
- Assist engineering in ensuring process compliance and readiness for prototype or production launches.
- Assist with implementing ERP, then enter and maintain part numbers, BOMs, revisions, and routing information in the ERP system.
- Assist with implementing PLM systems.
- Track engineering changes and communication impacts across engineering, production, and quality.
- Monitor data accuracy and support continuous improvement of ERP workflows.
- Coordinate internal and external movement of composite parts, tooling, and materials.
- Assist with RFQ & Quote package preparation.
- Some travel may be required to a maximum of 10% initially.
- Associate’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related technical field, or a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with composite manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, composite layup instructions, and assembly documents.
- Experience in technical, engineering, or manufacturing support role.
- Hands‑on experience in composites, mechanical assembly, tooling, or prototyping.
- Experience using ERP/MRP/PLM systems for part data, BOMs, or job tracking.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities.
