The analyst/associate position offers a unique career opportunity to join a highly successful and rapidly growing investment banking team specializing in middle-market mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and financial advisory.
ResponsibilitiesThe analyst/associate will act as a key member of the team, directly working with senior investment banking professionals on engagements. The analyst/associate will earn significant responsibility and will gain invaluable transaction experience, client exposure, negotiation skills and training. The analyst/associate will typically contribute to the following:
- Preparation of materials for and participation in business development opportunities
- Construct fully integrated, detailed financial models to support M&A transactions, FP&A engagements or business valuations
- Prepare buyer lists and draft marketing materials for M&A transactions including teasers, information memoranda and management presentations, among others
- Populate and manage online data rooms and facilitate the confirmatory due diligence process
- Interaction with clients, potential buyers and targets
Qualified candidates typically possess a combination of the following attributes:
- Strong undergraduate or graduate academic performance (3.5 GPA or better)
- 1-4 years of prior experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, accounting, consulting or corporate finance
Analytically oriented with significant financial modeling experience - Superior attention to detail and organization
- Strong writing skills, as evidenced by writing samples
- Ability to work a demanding but collaborative and team-oriented schedule
- Ability to learn quickly, employ resourcefulness, problem solve and multitask with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated, with a strong desire to be the "best of the best"
- Flexibility to travel when needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
