- Provide friendly, professional, and timely service to all guests
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, directions, and concerns
- Handle guest mail and messages accurately and confidentially
- Answer and route incoming phone calls to the appropriate departments
- Take reservations when the reservations agent is unavailable
- Assist valet and room service operations as needed
- Perform nightly audits to ensure all accounts are balanced and accurate
- Review and reconcile transactions including room charges, food and beverage, banquet, valet, dry cleaning, internet, and movie charges
- Audit city ledger accounts, reservation deposits, and credit card transactions
- Transfer charges and deposits to appropriate master accounts
- Prepare and distribute daily revenue and audit reports

Must be able to see computer screens, data reports and other business documents. Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with coworkers, associates and customers, attend meetings and prepare company information and assigned tasks. Requires walking and standing for significant periods of time. Must be able to write, type and use the phone system.

EssentialSkills:
Requires knowledge of the hotel business policies, procedures and services. Must possess the ability to communicate positively with guests and co-workers. Must be able to work with differing computer software, including but not limited to:
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Hotel property management systems. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information. Must have knowledge of the Metro-Detroit area, local attractions, sporting teams, concert venues, dining and shopping options etc. Must be able to professionally represent the hotel.
Must be detailed oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.
High school graduate or equivalent degree required. Bachelor degree preferred. One year of experience in the hospitality industry or equivalent. Fluent foreign language skills preferred.
