Separate linen according to classification, fabric and color.

Operate washers and dryers per established procedures.

Sort out stained linen for pretreating and for rewashing.

Fold, stack, and store all clean linen.

Clean dryer filters after every two loads.

Turn in all lost and found items in a timely manner.

Provide assistance to other employees to contribute to the smooth operation of the department and the property.

Report any hazardous conditions or malfunctions of equipment to Housekeeping manager on duty.

Separate, count, and record damaged and discarded linen and place it in designated area on a weekly basis.

Clean all equipment and work area daily.

Assist with monthly and quarterly inventories.

Physical Demands: Requires walking and standing for entire shift. Requires ability to perform light physical labor;
Lifting (heavy items, i.e. mattresses), reaching, bending, stretching, handling. Requires ability to move fingers and hands quickly and easily: handling and feeling. Requires ability to communicate with co-workers and other members of property. Ability to use stairways and service elevators as applicable.

Environmental Conditions: This role is performed inside and is protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Outside labor is required.

Essential

Skills:

Knowledge of applicable franchise standards and procedures. Ability to maintain schedule of cleaning. Must have ability to maintain records and communicate effectively with Director. Preferred candidate will have previous housekeeping experience in a luxury, boutique-hotel setting

Education/Vocational Preparation: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Ability to follow schedule and ability to perform physical labor.
