Golf Shop Sales Associate

Birmingham Country Club is seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented Golf Shop Sales Associates to join our golf operations team. As a key point of contact for our members and guests, Golf Shop Sales Associates play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, private shopping experiences all while maintaining the golf shop’s appearance, and supporting retail sales efforts.

Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, professional presentation, and an interest in golf or retail. This role is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a creative, fast-paced, member-focused environment and take pride in delivering an outstanding shopping experience.

• Greet and assist members and guests in a warm, professional, and courteous manner.
• Provide product knowledge and help members with purchases, special orders, and returns.
• Operate the POS system accurately to complete sales transactions and maintain records.
• Assist with receiving, tagging, folding, and displaying merchandise.
• Ensure the golf shop is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Strong focus on visual merchandising efforts by maintaining product presentation and restocking as needed.
• Assist with shop events, trunk shows, and seasonal merchandise changes.
• Communicate member preferences, feedback, and special requests to the Retail Merchandising Manager.
• Follow Birmingham Country Club’s standards for professionalism, appearance, and member service.
• Deliver personalized, one-on-one shopping experiences by understanding member preferences, offering thoughtful product recommendations, and providing attentive service that reflects the club’s high standards.

• Prior retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred; golf shop or country club experience a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine service mindset.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Basic computer and POS system proficiency;
  Club Essential experience a bonus.
• Interest in golf, fashion, or sports retail helpful but not required.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays during the golf season.

Available approximately April through December. Scheduling is part-time and flexible
