Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time on‑site Team Leader role based in Birmingham. The Team Leader will oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring the smooth running of assigned residential care homes and high‑quality support for children and staff. Key responsibilities include supervising and mentoring team members, managing schedules, promoting a safe and inclusive environment, and upholding company standards and values. The Team Leader will also collaborate with external stakeholders, monitor well‑being of the children, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications- Leadership and Team Management
Skills:
Proven experience in team leadership, conflict resolution, and team development. - Child Care and Development Expertise:
Strong knowledge of child development principles and experience in providing care for children in a residential environment. - Communication and Interpersonal
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, as well as effective relationship‑building skills with children, staff, and external professionals. - Organizational and Problem‑Solving
Skills:
Strong ability to manage schedules, oversee operations, and address challenges promptly and effectively. - Relevant Educational Background: A degree or qualification in Social Work, Childcare, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Awareness and Compliance:
Understanding of safeguarding procedures, health and safety regulations, and policies related to residential child care services. - Passion for Supporting Children: A commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of children and contributing to their well‑being and development.
