Overview
At Aspris Children’s Services, we are searching for the right person to join and lead our home in Birmingham through the next exciting phase of its development. Our children's home in Sheldon, Birmingham supports three young males with emotional, developmental and/or behavioural difficulties. The staff team is culturally diverse and offers 1:1 support, providing structure and stability in an understanding, supportive and non‑judgmental manner.
The young people are highly active and love spending time outdoors doing various activities, so the successful candidate will need to have the energy and initiative to get involved. This is a fantastic role and opportunity to shape and change their lives in a safe, caring, loving and family environment.
Lead the team and use experience and innovation to plan activities and create life opportunities for every young person, taking into account each individual’s needs. Provide a homely and caring nurturing environment that enables the young people to enjoy and achieve. Inspire staff and children to reach their full potential. Lead the home through its development phase, working with the wider Aspris Group to support children and promote safeguarding.
Qualifications- Wide experience as a childcare practitioner, having managed teams within a residential setting.
- Level 5 Diploma/DipSW qualification, or a commitment to attaining it.
- Children and young people at the centre of all that you do.
