Job Title:

Deputy Home Manager - Residential Childcare Job Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Home Manager in the daily operations of the residential childcare home.
  • Provide mentorship and support to staff members to ensure high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure the safety principles are adhered to at all times, promoting a safe environment for both staff and children.
  • Support in budgeting and financial management of the home, ensuring resources are used efficiently.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual children’s needs, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, stakeholders, and families to provide holistic care for children.
  • Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge within the team.
  • Assist in conducting regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices.
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive and inclusive culture within the home.
Essential

Qualifications:
  • No specific educational qualification is required for this position.
  • Must have relevant experience in residential childcare or similar environments.
Desired

Experience:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a residential childcare setting.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and team management.
  • Experience in maintaining regulatory compliance, including health and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
