At Cambian Group, you’re not just working – you’re shaping futures. As a Support Worker, based within West Midlands, every moment you spend with our young people (ages 8–18) helps them feel safe, valued and supported.
A simple "How was your day?", a shared laugh over a board game or encouragement during a tough moment – these small interactions build trust and shape lives. Some days will be challenging but every breakthrough, every smile and every step forward will remind you why this work truly matters.
What You’ll Do- Support young people with daily routines, getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times, and planning activities.
- Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.
- Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
- Plan and join fun activities such as trips to the park, popcorn and movie nights, or creative projects.
- Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
Home work really well with engaging children in creative activities in which their interests lie. It’s a home that welcomes active and playful activity, supporting children to express themselves. The team is able to identify areas of interest and facilitate the child’s part in their hobbies. We have three young females who bring so much joy and energy to the home, all with their own individual personalities.
They support one another and create a positive impact, with each bringing humor and laughter. The children we support achieve consistently in school and local pantomime shows, making them feel proud of their hard work.
The team works together to ensure the children have structure and consistency in their day, with morning routines around school and evening activities and settling times. The staff lean on one another to get tasks done, ensuring the children remain in their routines and support each other throughout the day. The staff team get involved with the activities the children take part in, ensuring the child feels supported and appreciated.
