A leading UK environmental consultancy is seeking an Ecologist to join its growing team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation with a strong reputation for delivering innovative ecological and environmental solutions across infrastructure, development, utilities and conservation projects.

As an Ecologist, you will undertake a range of habitat and protected species surveys, assist with ecological assessments, prepare technical reports and support project delivery from initial site appraisal through to completion. The Ecologist will work alongside experienced environmental specialists on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK. This Ecologist position offers excellent exposure to high-profile developments and genuine opportunities for career progression.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
  • Experience undertaking ecological surveys and report writing
  • Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Membership of CIEEM or working towards membership
  • Must live within a commutable distance of the Birmingham office
