Field Service Engineer

Overview

Field Service Engineer at Linde Material Handling – Birmingham/Tamworth area.

We are looking for vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers with experience in forklift technology or related fields to join our team. You will service a range from small pallet trucks to IC, VNA and automated trucks, diagnosing faults and performing preventative maintenance at customer sites.

• Find, diagnose, and rectify faults on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate service records.
• Work with a variety of equipment, from pallet trucks to automated trucks.

• Experience in at least one of the following areas:
  Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Hydraulics.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
• IT literate; able to use the latest technology to record information and place orders.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Good communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and represent the Linde brand.

• Salary will depend on experience.
