Fire & Security Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field Service team. You will ensure the effective delivery of preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive calls and additional small works, meeting all legal and regulatory requirements.

Your day‑to‑day tasks will include routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs and installation of fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm equipment, ensuring compliance with legislative and quality standards. You must maintain accurate documentation and records in a timely manner and possess basic Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.

To succeed you should be comfortable working to high health‑and‑safety standards and have prior experience delivering PPM, reactive calls and small works in the fire & security systems sector. Experience with service tests, inspections, fault‑finding and relevant standards/codes is required. You will also attend and participate in company‐initiated training to keep your technical knowledge up to date.

The ideal candidate will also have experience with PPM, accident reporting or RAMS, will follow health‑and‑safety legislation, and will demonstrate technical and problem‑solving abilities. An ability to take initiative and work with little supervision is also valued.
