Fire Door Inspector

Overview

At FAFS Fire & Security, we are experts in designing, installing, commissioning, and servicing state-of-the-art automatic Fire Detection, Protection, and Alarm Systems. Serving the Greater London area, we are dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of our clients with top-notch, reliable solutions. This role will require Nationwide travel.

What will you need?

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a like for like or similar role.
• Must have a good understanding of third-party accreditation requirements in this field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of passive fire door systems and products such as Flamebreak, Premdor and Vicaima.
• Knowledge of the 2021 Fire Safety Act.
• Approved document B, BS 476-22 and BS 8214.

• Attending client sites and inspecting fire doors in line with the UKAS Blue Sky Certification scheme, Government guidance and the manufacturer installation or O&M guidance.
• Surveying sites prior to the carpentry team for access, health and safety, material storage, and specifications of work accuracy against third party information.
• Quantity surveying for materials required to complete the works.
• Meet with clients on site to discuss site requirements and individual client needs.
• Handover accepted inspection reports to the passive fire projects manager.
