Plasterer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated plasterer/renderer or a labourer willing to learn the trade to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering techniques and be proficient in using various tools and equipment.

As a plasterer, you will be responsible for applying plaster to walls, ceilings and other surfaces to create a smooth finish, ensuring high quality workmanship that meets industry standards.

Duties:

* Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning and repairing as necessary.

* Mix plaster according to specifications to achieve the desired consistency

* Apply plaster using hand tools, ensuring an even application across surfaces

* Finish plastered surfaces by smoothing and shaping as required

* Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and bricklayers, to ensure seamless integration of work

* Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing minor repairs as needed

* Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while working on site

Qualifications:

* Proven experience in plastering or related field is essential

* Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in plastering work

* Familiarity with masonry techniques and bricklaying is advantageous

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating strong communications skills

* Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy material when necessary

* A valid drivers licence is preferred for travel between sites
