Engineer, Field​/Service Technician

Andrews Sykes is seeking a skilled and motivated Pump Engineer to join our Midlands team. This is a field-based role responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our specialist pump hire equipment across a wide range of customer sites, including construction, utilities, industrial, and environmental projects.

• Install, commission, and decommission pump equipment on customer sites
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely
• Perform routine service and maintenance on a range of diesel and electric pumps
• Provide technical support and advice to customers on site
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
• Complete job reports and service documentation accurately
• Participate in the on-call rota (with additional pay)

• Mechanical engineering experience (plant, pumps, generators, or similar)
• Good fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
• Good customer‑facing and communication skills
• Experience working with pumps or related equipment
• Electrical knowledge
• CSCS card
• IPAF or CPCS qualifications
