We’re seeking an experienced Gas Pipe Layer / Gas Operative to join our growing utilities team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in laying, maintaining, and connecting gas mains and services
, working safely and efficiently on both domestic and commercial infrastructure
.
- Installing, testing, and maintaining gas mains and service pipelines
- Working with PE pipework up to and above 180mm
- Ensuring all works comply with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Collaborating with team members and site supervisors to deliver projects on time
- Accurately recording work and maintaining high-quality standards
- City & Guilds / C&G qualification (NCO2 Service Layer or Main Layer)
- Experience with gas mains and service installation
- Understanding of gas safety procedures and pipeline standards
- Strong awareness of site safety and compliance
- Experience with mains up to or above 180mm
- Street Works (NRSWA) certification
- GNO1
