Electrician

Recruit4staff are representing a well‑established building services business in the search for a JIB Approved Electrician to work in the West Midlands.

• Pay: up to £39,156 per annum
• Hours of Work:
  Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
• Duration:
  Permanent
• Benefits: 24 days holiday + bank holidays, pension scheme, company vehicle, uniform, mobile phone/PDA, power tools and testing equipment, and overtime at x1.5 per hour.

As a JIB Approved Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical installation and maintenance tasks across commercial and industrial environments. The role involves electrical testing, verification, fault finding, and general maintenance while liaising with clients to understand and meet their requirements. Duties may also include structured cabling installation and participation in an on‑call rota.

• Experience working as a JIB Approved Electrician within commercial and industrial settings
• NVQ Level 3 or full apprenticeship
• 18th Edition BS7671:2018
• 2391, 2394/5 or equivalent testing qualification
• JIB grading card
• Full UK driving licence

• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings
• Experience in electrical installation testing
• IPAF/PASMA certification
• Emergency lighting knowledge (BS5266-1:2016)
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
• Self‑motivated with the ability to use initiative

• On‑call rota required (1 in 6 weeks – 0.25phr enhancement for being on call)
• Multi‑site role focused within the West Midlands region
