Fabric Engineer (Painting & Decorating Bias)

Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 basic

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Painter & Decorator with carpentry skills to join one of the UK’s leading Facilities Management companies. This is a fantastic chance to work on a prestigious site in Birmingham, offering long-term stability and career progression.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable professional with a background in commercial environments. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, take pride in their work, and be confident planning and delivering tasks to a high standard and within deadlines.

Requirements:

• City & Guilds (C&G) in Painting & Decorating (essential)
• Proven experience in commercial painting and decorating
• Basic carpentry experience
  
  Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with the Site and Maintenance Manager
• Carrying out painting and decorating works across the site
• Completing touch‑ups and repairs to walls and ceilings
• Planning and delivering larger refurbishment projects
• Maintaining high presentation standards across the site
• Responding to reactive maintenance tasks
