Air Hygiene Supervisor
Birmingham (with travel across the Southwest Region) – Full Time, 40 hours per week
About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced Air Hygiene Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you'll support the Field Manager by supervising operatives, ensuring safe working practices, and delivering high-quality air hygiene services across a variety of sites. This is a hands‑on position combining technical expertise and team leadership, offering a great opportunity to grow your career in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Supervise operatives on‑site, promoting safe working practices in line with RAMS.
- Deliver air hygiene services, including kitchen extract cleaning (TR19 Grease), ventilation system cleaning (TR19), access door installation (DW144), and carrying out fire damper inspections (BS9999).
- Conduct site inspections and support preventative maintenance programmes.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients.
- Complete risk assessments and same‑day service reports.
- Manage equipment and chemical stock levels.
- Ensure all work complies with site rules, method statements, and safety standards.
- Strong knowledge of air hygiene and ventilation systems.
- Experience supervising or leading teams (preferred but not essential).
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel where company needs are required.
- A recognised qualification in air hygiene is desirable but not essential, as further training and support will be provided.
