Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Plumbing Biased) FM Service Provider | Charing Cross, London | Up to £42,000 Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer or Plumber looking for your next challenge? If so, this could be the opportunity for you. CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a leading Facilities Management Service Provider for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based at a prestigious commercial office building in Charing Cross, London.
The successful candidate will have a mechanical/plumbing bias, holding a relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualification, and will bring a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working as part of a collaborative on-site maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical, electrical, and fabric maintenance across the building. In return, the client offers a competitive salary of up to £42,000, alongside strong opportunities for further training and career development.
Key Responsibilities Pumps, motors, seals, and bearings maintenance and repair Emergency lighting testing and maintenance Air conditioning servicing of Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs), including filter changes and cleaning Water treatment temperature monitoring and compliance checks Plumbing reactive works including unblocking toilets, replacing taps, and general plumbing repairs BMS monitoring and basic operation (hot and cold water systems, LTHW, DHWS, CHW) Hours of Work Monday to Friday, 08:0017:00 Package Salary up to £42,000 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays Overtime available Company pension scheme Requirements Mechanical/plumbing qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) Proven experience in commercial building maintenance Strong communication skills Good organisational and team-working abilities Previous experience in a healthcare environment is highly desirable
