Global Facilities Management Organisation:
Public Sector/Education CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our national client on a permanent basis, who are a leading provider in facilities management solutions, delivering top-tier services across large public sector environments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance within commercial settings, as they will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
This is a mobile opportunity, covering Birmingham and surrounding areas.
Package- Competitive salary of up to £43,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Core hours:
Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) - Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed) – 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Training, development & progression opportunities
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure the longevity of electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical components, such as wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment.
- Qualified to at least City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, with AM2 certification required.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role within the facilities management industry.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
